An alternative of vegetable protein, for those who want to enjoy all the taste of a good burger but want to consume products of animal origin.

We are used to the typical burgers with animal products (beef, pork, chicken). Today, there is a huge variety of burgers on the market that offer us a good alternative for all those people who want to change their diet a little, or who have abandoned animal protein by medical or moral codes.

Be amazed by the simplicity and incredible taste of the various spices in this recipe, with which you will not miss the meat.

  • A cup of quinoa

  • Three small tablespoons of toasted sesame

  • A small onion cut

  • A clove of chopped garlic

  • Half large grated carrot

  • 3 mushrooms cut into cubes

  • Spinach (2 staples)

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Chopped parsley (3 branches)

  • Turmeric powder (1 teaspoon)

  • Spelled whole flour (2 tablespoons)

This recipe can be varied to your taste, or the vegetables you have in the fridge.

How to cook Quinoa.

First of all we will wash it very carefully. Then we place it in a saucepan. For each part of quinoa add 3 parts water, and bring to a boil with the pan covered over low heat for about 20 minutes. It is important to make good cooking for good digestion.

How to make hamburgers

Sauté the onion, and then add the mushrooms, the grated carrot and garlic, and simmer. After about 3-4 minutes add the spinach, pepper and once cooked, add quinoa, sesame and turmeric and remove from heat. Take a flat spring and spread the mixture over it so that it cools quickly. Once cold, moisten our hands and make balls with the mixture, a little smaller than a tennis ball. We crush them lightly and flour them to agglutinate the mixture so that it does not melt during cooking. You can add a little water during the process (very little, in any case better to wet your hands) so that they are compacted. Preheat the oven to 180º for 10 minutes, and put a few drops of oil and the burgers on a tray. We'll bake it until it has a uniform golden brown on both sides, and we're ready to serve.
